Absorptive Intake/Exhaust Gas Silencer
The SLS series silencer is an absorptive type straight through silencer the noise being dissipated by heat resistant fibrous material. The gasses flow through the silencer without obstruction resulting in negligible back pressure. Suitable for vertical and horizontal installations the SLS series silencer design gives good attenuation in the higher frequency octave band widths and is, therefore, versatile in its application as an intake or exhaust silencer on fan blowers, centrifugal compressors, internal combustion engines, and small low-pressure gas vents and steam ejectors.
The SLS series silencer can also be used as a secondary silencer in conjunction with a primary reactive silencer in areas where critical levels of noise attenuation are required.
The SLS ‘industrial grade’ absorptive silencer series are of all welded design, constructed in carbon steel, finished with one coat heat resistant black paint to ensure a long service life.
